We often get questions on what are the best spots/locations for engagement photography sessions in Orlando?

Orlando engagement photographer Albert Harris figured that he give his insight on where the best spots are in the area being that he has photographed countless sessions!  Having that knowledge is pure power so we can ensure that spot meets your aesthetic as these photos will be used for your social media, save the dates and wedding website! Also having an engagement session also gives you an idea of how we work with you to ensure you are comfortable with us along with knowing how to pose.  So when it comes to the wedding day you’re more prepared for your portrait session!

1. Downtown Orlando

If you’re looking for an urban feel, Downtown Orlando has what you’re looking for.  From the beautiful Church St Station Bridge to City Hall, if you’re looking for a modern classy look for your photos, this is the place you want to take them at!

2. Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress

This resort is actually a hidden gem.  The reason why I call this a hidden gem that this resort has it all.  From lanterns that light up at night to set the mood, to waterfalls, to a bridge that makes it perfect with photos.  It has so many different possibilities for the kind of photos you want with so many scenes and backdrops to work with.  This spot is also perfect for those who are staying near the Disney area but don’t want to pay for Disney prices.  If you’re looking for a spot that doesn’t scream Disney but want to be near Disney this is your spot.

3. Kraft Azalea Gardens

Kraft Azalea has always been a popular spot for many photographers to bring their couples or even families out for a photo session.  The reason for that is just the environment.  It has tall beautiful cypress moss trees and pillars that will make for beautiful photos.  Golden hour at this park is just a dream which I’ll show in my examples for you to see!

4. Dickson Azalea

This park is not to be confused with Kraft Azalea since this park is actually located south of Lake Eola near Downtown Orlando!  This park is actually a local’s secret! If you’re wanting some privacy without being in the public’s eye but still want a beautiful park with flowers and moss trees, this is the spot!  There’s also plenty of shade and also a nice bridge that makes for beautiful photos!

5.  Lake Eola

Lake Eola is a popular park where many couples choose to do their engagement session.  The reason for that is that they love Orlando and this park is perfect to showcase the love for the city as there are many spots to take photos that have the backdrop of Downtown Orlando and the many bridges and mini garden areas the park offers to make great photos!

6. Rollins College

This is a place where you have beautiful architecture meets nature.  From the many corridors to the natural environment, Rollins College definitely doesn’t disappoint!

7. Universal Studios Wizarding World of Harry Potter

This spot is actually one of my favorites due to the fact that there are so many possibilities to take photos!  Of course, if you are a huge Harry Potter fan, this is a no brainer!  From the Knight bus to Hogwarts this place just meets your magical needs.

8. Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside

Disney Port Orleans Riverside has a special vibe to it where you have beautiful French Quarter architecture and bridges!  Not to mention those carriage rides make for some beautiful photos.  The resort is also pretty quiet compared to the parks.  If you’re looking for a place that doesn’t scream Disney but you will want beautiful southern decadence vibe to it, then I highly suggest this resort!

9. Disney’s Yacht and Beach

This resort is unique in many ways.  From the nearby Boardwalk to the lighthouse to the beach, this resort has it all.  The resort tends to have a lot of foot traffic because Epcot is adjacent.  We do tend to work around that and they do come out for some spectacular photos!

10. Disney’s Grand Floridian

If you’re looking for a classy feel, then look no further than the Grand Floridian.  This resort has a Victorian and classic look that truly shows that if you have class and style, these photos will definitely reflect that!

PS. I’m going to add just one more spot that deserves some praise! That spot is Lake Baldwin!

The reason why I pick that spot is many couples end up going on their first date there and if you’re looking for a beautiful park with a lake and a dock!  That will definitely meet your needs!
